THE FLOYD CAMPAIGN – 2015
The Floyd Campaign is a philanthropic initiative to help cats and dogs in need. This campaign is managed by Pink Panther Productions and Borg Cardona & Co Ltd. During the first year, in 2014, The Floyd campaign raised a total of Euro 10,550.00. Funds were distributed among animal shelters in Malta and Gozo and registered cat feeders. Funds are paid by Borg Cardona & Co. Ltd with great help from their main sponsors. The campaign is organised and supported by Borg Cardona & Co. Ltd in collaboration with Royal Canin, Biokat’s Cat Litter and Lindo Cat Litter.
Despite the campaign is still going on , the company has already donated a total of Euro 9460.30 in the Floyd Campaign Fund. The aim of this campaign is to improve animal welfare in general especially the well-being of cats and dogs currently residing in sanctuaries and shelters and other stray cats and dogs which are found abandoned in the streets.
When buying one of a range of products which have The Floyd Campaign sticker, automatically a contribution of 5 cents is made for every kilo purchased. The donation is paid by the sponsors at no extra cost to the customer.
We urge all those who have animal welfare at heart to support and help the purpose of the Floyd campaign by spreading the word and by buying the products with The Floyd Campaign sticker when buying pet food and cat litter for pets.
The story behind Floyd and the Campaign.
Besides being a very lucky Maine Coon cat, Floyd participated in several European and International cat shows and managed to achieve admirable results in just a few months. Confirmed by judges, these results were only an outcome of dedication, excellent grooming, exercise and an excellent health nutrition programme specific to his breed and needs and indubitably lots of love from his owners, Nevise Borg Caligari and Pierre Borg. It is usually the custom at TICA cat shows, that with every final placing, the cat gets a reward in the form of food, treats etc. Floyd’s owners decided that since Floyd was lucky enough to be treated like a King, all his winnings in the form of cat food, treats etc. would be donated to help abandoned animals. And that is how the Floyd Campaign kicked off.
Floyd & other cats and dogs living with us at home are family members and are treated likewise. Sadly, not every cat and dog is provided with the same amount of love and care. Many animals (sometimes even pure breeds) are dumped in streets or in animal sanctuaries daily without food and a loving owner.
By means of this Campaign, Floyd will be helping cats and dogs that are less fortunate through the following actions: -
